The Hotel is located in the heart of Menorca, in a Menorcan family home from the 17th century.
In 1862, the Sastre family opened the La Sin Nombre bakery, known as “Can Poldo” referring to Esteve Leopoldo Sastre, grandfather of Josep and Joan who ran the bakery until 1987. Four generations of master bakers and strong family ties between the brothers Joan and Josep meant that for decades “La Sin Nombre” was seen as prestigious in the art of great baking, with its signature bakes known locally as “Pios”, “Braços de Gitano”, and “Tortades Russes”.
Can Sastre aims to work actively and responsibly with society and our environment, using our daily work to involve ourselves in small living projects that contribute to creating a better world.
We also want to raise awareness about this entrepreneurial spirit of Menorcan society that is part of its history, which is why we have chosen FLORIS for our toiletries.
In 1750, Juan Famenias Floris settled in London and opened his boutique, putting Menorca on the world map of toiletries. It is now an official supplier to the British Royal Family.
Our objective is to use our daily work to have a positive impact on society and our environment, contributing to developing the art of living to make our everyday life better.
